Curso on-line: EUROPEANA IN YOUR CLASSROOM: BUILDING 21ST CENTURY COMPETENCES WITH DIGITAL CULTURAL HERITAGE
This MOOC is offered in collaboration with European Schoolnet due to the agreement reached between European Schoolnet and Consejería de Educación de Castilla y León.
Europeana Education is an initiative to embed Europe's digital cultural heritage in education. Its digitized collection of cultural heritage from 43 countries and searchable in 23 languages can provide multiple perspectives on historical, political, economic, cultural, and human developments across Europe and beyond. This MOOC will allow participants to explore the Europeana Collections and learn how to best use these culturally rich resources to deliver qualitative lessons, regardless of the subject they teach.
The course will be in English and participants’ knowledge of English should be equivalent to a B2 level.

2.- To learn how to use Europeana Collections to teach different subjects
3.- To learn how to search and use the Europeana Collections portal
4.- To explore and become familiarized with the various Europeana apps, tools and materials.

1.- In-service teachers working in schools supported by public funds of the Community of Castilla y León.
2.- In case the number of inscriptions is superior to the places available, there will be a draw which will take place the 17th of april at CFP Idiomas.
This MOOC will run for six weeks and a half , with a total of 5 modules, one module per week, and one extra week at the end of the course in order for participants to submit their final course activity and review the activity of three of their peers. The course will be done in the European Schoolnet Platform.
